We would like to express our genuine appreciation and offer a big “Thank you” to all participants of International Workshop on Nitride Semiconductors (IWN 2022). More than 800 scientists from 32 countries took part at IWN 2022 in Berlin, which was much more than anticipated after a two-year pandemic-related hiatus. We are particularly pleased about the truly international character of the conference with researchers from all around the world showing up for the in-person event. Participation from Germany was closely followed by researchers from Japan, United States, France, Poland, and Korea. It was impressive to see such a wide range of high-quality contributions covering many breakthrough results in the areas of growth, characterization, optical and electronic devices as well as novel materials and nanostructures. We hope that all participants had an enjoyable stay in the city of Berlin and were able to foster lively exchanges, new collaboration, and innovative ideas.
